Let God Be in Charge

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass – Psalm 37:5

As independent, self-sufficient people we find it hard to depend on anyone.  However, God isn’t anyone.  Moses made it clear to the people of Israel and us that, “God is not a man, that He should lie,  Nor a son of man, that He should repent.  Has He said, and will He not do?  Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19).

So, if God can be trusted because of who He is why then do we find it so hard to commit to Him?  We always hold back instead of completely surrendering to Him.  And how many times have we beaten ourselves up over dealing with something in our own strength and way instead of giving it to God who knows best?

Being dependent may seem like a weakness but not when it comes to depending on the Almighty.  So, no matter what you are facing today or what tough decisions you have to make, commit yourself to God who cares for you and always wants what is best for you.  Spend time in His Word and in prayer.  Trust in Him and have faith that He will bring it to pass in His perfect time and in His perfect way.
